Solar PV in Germany provides up to 17 GW peak of 85 GW peak demand.
That at only 2% total contribution (doubled from 1% within a year).

At the current growth rate renewable would provide >100% of
peak by 2020, though it won't as the grid won't be able to be refitted
for variable, multiple distributed sources on time.
