Same as for scurvy, I believe there is some evidence suggesting that gout
has little to do with a diet based on fresh meat and fish, and that once
proteins are are mixed with the right balance of fats we do not really need
much else.
An europoid Norwegian tried to subsist for a couple of years on a purely
carnivorous diet, and the only thing he had to do to be perfectly well was
to adjust his fat intake.
