Aren't dramatically reduced physical performance (power *and*
resistance), reduced libido, reduced fertility, reduced mobility,
reduced aggressiveness, reduced resilience to temperature variations,
reduced endurance to fasting periods, reduced range of interests (as
in "food, food, food!"),  mood alterations, reduced sociability,
well-described consequences of severe caloric restrictions amongst
humans? Both forced and deliberate CRs?

What exactly would be the point? This sounds as a disease in itself to
me. In fact, there is little surprise that CR has often been
deliberately adopted in history to secure the effects described above.
