Just a side note, that dimming of a galaxy is easy. Actually, it's
impossible. Every star inside a Dyson sphere still radiates in IR. 30 years
ago they have already looked for large IR sources and found nothing.

One must disassemble a star to stop all EM emissions. You just can't dim it!
