Would it rain on your parade too much to point at the much higher
death and injury rates for motorcycle riders?

If that young motorcycle gang had continued riding motorcycles
throughout their life the chances of all of them making it to the rest
home are pretty remote. And survivors would probably have a selection
of injuries to boast about.

That's why there are so many motorists who reminisce about the good
ol' days when they rode motorcycles, but don't do it any more. (Or
only occasionally as a treat).
