No, you are entirely incorrect. Even the original can't distinguish the copy from the original, nor can the copy, nor can any other part of the universe; but of course if you march one off to a dungeon and not the other then they are no longer identical. There is nothing spooky or any great mystery to the fact that due to different circumstances identical things can diverge. Identical adjectives can too.
