I was thinking much the same things -- about how this doesn't require constantly pumping in help or other resources to keep it going -- and, yeah, I was wondering, because it rains a lot in that region, how they would deal with that. I suppose, with the latter, one could seal up the opening between the bottle and the roof... Or one could just remove the whole setup when it's raining really hard. After all, there's not going to be much sunlight during a downpour.
