90% of the time you will not be using the symbiotic machine part. It 
will be too specialised. So it would be cumbersome to actually have it a 
part of the core replicator. Think of it as one of Bruce Sterling's 
spimes instead: a smart object instantiated whenever needed, and then 
recycled (or stored out of the way).
