This may be said in jest, but I am actually persuaded the fact that most
conservatives are of a nationalist or a regionalist persuasion makes
international competition a wonderful factor in keeping neoLuddite
temptations under control...

In addition to increased chances for global prohibitionist enforcement,
this is one more reason why I believe that transhumanist should be wary of
"global governance" trends.
