Yes and no.

Certainly, "à la guerre comme à la guerre" (and, by the way, "en amour
comme en guerre").

OTOH, ritualisation of aggressiveness is pervasive (see Konrad Lorenz),
especially amongst predators. And we certainly qualify as such.
