[ExI] recommendation for an open source inventory/asset management package

I need to put plenty of sticky ID tags on a number of physical objects,
along with pictures and text descriptions, plus fields like
purchase date, expiration date, and so on.

Any suggestions for a decent open source system (perhaps even
a Debian package?) for this? Web-interface and ability to 
survive open exposure to hostile internets without daily
patching a must.
