Because in Ireland in particular and Western Europe in general Christianity
is much less powerful today than it was just a few years ago, in fact
Europe is the least religious place on the face of the Earth. Well OK,
Antarctica probably has it beat, almost everybody there is a scientist and
most of them are atheists or agnostics.
