I am embarrassed as all hell but hafta confess: when I heard of Zhang's work
a few months ago, I dismissed it as a math-geek's version of an Onion
parody.  I didn't even investigate it because the whole notion sounded so
outlandish.  I will be drummed out of the geek inner circle.  (What happens
when one is no longer worthy to be a geek?  Does one get declared cool?
Evolution forbid.)

Oy.
