This is great. Except I always want more. How about an app for 
smartphone, smart glasses, and desktop that shows a stored image or 
video, or live camera feed, as it would appear to any of a wide range 
of species? Including (for sf writers and scientists) an advanced 
mode that lets you define your own custom species.

Someone do this. Mention me. Throw me a few bucks.
