he common model flips that: learning or ability to use is on the x axis,
while effort or time is on the y.  It's one of the few common cases where
time is on the y axis.

OK, I googled 'common model' and got nothing.  What you say obviously came
after I retired.  So please give me a link so I can learn it.  Thanks!
