It could be done.  Many of us have hung onto a motorcycle at 100 mph.  I
wouldn't want to try to cling to a smooth surface at that speed, but it
wouldn't be that hard if they gave them something to grasp.  Bugs
reeeeaaallly hurt when you hit them at that speed.  On second thought, they
don't feel a thing.  But the prole who hit the bug hurts and gets covered in
a gooey mess.
