Ja, but look at the bright side.  The US has rediscovered the paradoxically-named concept of Federalism, which is about state’s rights.  We have long been suffering from a voting population with little interest in the whole notion.  Now, everything has changed.  Suddenly there is new interest in and appreciation for the US Constitution, with a long-neglected emphasis on enumerated rights, the defined list of things the Federal government is legally empowered to do.  This is a gooooood thing.
