For the first time an asteroid
has been found that follows a hyperbolic path not a elliptical one, that
means it is not in orbit around the sun but is freely
traveling
between the stars. It's about
1300
feet
across and was discovered on Oct 19 *after* it had already made its closest
approach to Earth (15 million miles) which must have been on Oct 14. It
will never come this way again.
