Agreed. For a hospital that would be a good design. Using a 49" LED TV  
flipped sideways, we could render a life-size avatar from the knees  
up, have its face at about eye-level for an ambulatory patient. It  
would be a plastic cylinder a little over 2 feet wide so it would fit  
through doors easily. The bottom 1 ft or so would contain the wheels,  
motorized chassis, power supply, CPU/GPU, etc.

We could literally have the avatar crouch down to talk to bed-ridden  
patients, or pull up a chair and sit down, based upon what the robot's  
cameras see. Same with navigation. We can use off the shelf drone  
technology for a lot of this stuff.

I like this idea. It's doable, noble, and potentially lucrative.
