[ExI] periodicity?

Are these the days the deaths actually occur, or when the data reaches a central location? Many places don’t parse data on weekends, as office workers get weekends off.

The infection numbers in my area show a trend to drop Saturday, way down Sunday, pretty low Monday, way high on Tuesday.
