Hi SR, I doubt there will be an armed insurrection against the city of Seattle or anyone outside the region.

I don't doubt there will be an internal armed resistance where the guns are aimed at each other, as several rivals claim to be the leader in some capacity: king, emperor, warlord, president, mayor, chief, sheriff.  Hard to say.  I can imagine a series of autocrats being assassinated as she goes around trying to convince people she is their new mayor.

The police chief is holding back, letting it play out, perhaps guessing the homeless are getting restless and wanting more food, which is in short supply and getting more expensive by the day.

Comparing to Hong Kong: that community had a government before it was considered part of China.  They have a lot of stored wealth there, access to the sea and air, plenty going for it that CHAZ/CHOP does not have.

I agree all people are of unknown loyalty.  CHAZ/CHOP has a special challenge in that it formed a border around an area which includes businesses and residents, who were not asked if they wished to be part of this experiment in government.

I said I see three possibilities:

(1) It will die down, aka, “I suspect life will return to normal within CHAZ/CHOP in two to four weeks.”

(2) They will create a special administrative region. Technically, this is what Hong Kong is in China, what Tokyo’s 23 wards are in Japan, the City of London (not the same as London) inside of England, Scotland/Wales/Northern Ireland in the UK, Puerto Rico in the US, DC in the US... etc...

(3) There will be an armed insurrection. [a violent uprising against an authority or government; revolt, rebellion, uprising] I’m not saying that they’ll WIN anything. I’m merely saying that someone might try. I’m not even saying that they’ll attempt to secede. Basically doing the same thing they were already doing, but now with guns. 

I’m not sure how you can say you disagree with me (“this I doubt sincerely”) the turn around and agree with my option #1, (“I suspect life will return to normal within CHAZ/CHOP in two to four weeks.”)

As a side note, all people are “people of unknown loyalty”.
