Ja.  Consider the nuclear meltdown at Chernobyl and this novel flu outbreak.  In both cases, the communist governments in charge attempted to cover up the incident, with catastrophic international consequences.  

Given any society which controls information, we can expect similar results.  Lesson: communism destroys.  Capitalism employs.
