[ExI] Arecibo radio telescope to be closed down

Reading the Space.com article about the tragedy made me wonder if a century
from now, people will be lamenting about a space elevator which is coming
apart... Now that would be an epic spectacle of disturbing proportions!

And if they have not already, I suspect China will build a radio telescope
equal or even superior to Arecibo...
