Adrian, this is one scenario, however should the US void its China debt, the Chinese stop lending money to the US.  Other nations follow suit, for they realize the level of risk on those loans exceeds the payback.  US buyers of US debt recognize the risk, and they too stop lending to the US government.  Then what?
