Taliban enters Kabul, Afghan president flees, surrender negotiations

I just don't get the big overnight pull-out. And supposedly there is a
trillion dollar deposit of rare earths in Afghanistan, which I thought was
the actual reason for the U.S. having troops there.

And now apparently China will be moving in forces and rebuilding the
country for the Taliban? Lol

It just gets stranger and stranger...

I wonder if some backroom deal was cut with China. But if so, what did the
U.S. get in return?
