I think you don't really know much about the history of medicine. The 
suppression of traditional medicine in favor of a system run primarily by 
men, for the benefit of men, is relatively recent, but this has almost 
nothing to do with the Hippocratic Oath, nor to do with "public safety".

Or, if you do know about the history of medicine, then you may be 
intentionally conflating things to make points that really have nothing to 
do with each other.
