As we would expect, this is a truly intelligent, well-written, and fairly
complete book, which I cannot recommend to you.

If you are versed in probability, including Bayes, correlation and
causation, cognitive errors of some types (not complete because there are
nearly 200 of them in Wikipedia), and formal logic, then most of the book
will be a waste for you.

I can recommend the last two chapters in which Pinker offers his view of
modern society, science, the media, and so on.  He is a superior
synthesist. Maybe you could check it out of your library for just those two
chapters.    bill w
