We can all agree that popularity really is a popularity contest.  Wiki and
Twitter could provide a battlefield in the culture wars, but not at their
own expense, or even at the expense of the participants.  It would be the
kind of battlefield where the owner allows contestants to battle free, then
charges advertisers to put billboards around the arena.
