. for me to conclude that this nightmare is over.

 

The fatality numbers rose some in Florida's omicron surge of December, but
nothing like any of the three preceding waves.

 

There is enough data and enough time now for us to conclude based on the
Florida numbers that omicron doesn't slay and that it is likely to confer
some immunity from Alpha and Delta.

 

If that still-tentative second contention is true, this two-year nightmare
is over.
