Our own Robin Hanson has an article in Reason about the singularity, but he
doesn't call it that, much to my surprise. He introduced a new term: AI
foom.
Foom? How weird. The article is interesting. I disagree with him, and it
surprises me to see the notion from two Americans, where it isn't clear that
regulation of AI is even legally possible. I don't see where in the
constitution the fed has the authority, and at least some states will
refuse.
