Fwiw I agree that the current environment around AI is one of extreme
danger, and that soon we will have a very hard time saying AIs aren't
conscious.  But I just don't think it would KILL EVERYTHING EVER, up to and
including weird extremophilic archaea at the bottom of the ocean and deep
in the Earth's crust...
