I reckon that autocorrect is causing, not solving the problem. I used to 
be able to type quite fluently, 30 wpm, then damned MS Word came along, 
and started autocorrecting the few mistakes I would make, so I didn't 
even notice them, and gradually I made more (autocorrected) mistakes, so 
my typing got worse. Once I realised what was happening, I turned the 
cursed thing off. Now I turn autocorrect off in almost everything. 
Unfortunately, my typing is still pretty bad! It takes longer to get the 
accuracy back than it takes to lose it. A bit like weight-loss. Why do 
the bad things happen quickly and the good ones slowly?! :(
