BillK, this is outrageously cool, and is the answer to a question I have long wanted: an AI companion for the elderly.  This tech didn't arrive in time for my mother, but it did get here in time for my father in law, who is now 85.  He is still living on his own, for now.  But loneliness is a big challenge, one of his biggest.  This video demonstrates the technology is here to make a digital companion.
