Not exactly.  The hybrids do not have a removable IC.  We wouldn’t need to carry all that weight for most of the year or for most trips.  Have the IC to where it can be loaded in the frunk in 10 minutes by an elderly woman with a power hoist in the garage.  Carry the IC only when needed which is seldom.
