Why do you think hostility will be a problem when it comes to uploading
as long as it is a voluntary procedure that will not affect anyone else?
I can easily see a future where some do, others don't, and that's that.
Personally, if the process was continuous, and I could have a robot
body, I have nothing against it, since I could always "terminate" myself
if I got bored with life.
On the other hand, I'm perfectly fine with death as well, so uploading
or freezing is definitely not something I occupy my mind with, or am
actively seeking out.
