[ExI] Storyville: Eternal You

When my father died, my mom found she was often talking to him, she
*wanted* to talk to him. She became worried that she was going crazy. I
disagreed with her and said she was finding comfort - after some 50+ years
of being together, why not talk to the dearest person of your life? She
continued and then after a bit she never mentioned it agian. Seemed to be
geting along ok by herself.

My reaction was based on my own talking to people I loved who were not
there - not dead people, but missing.

Maybe I'm crazy too, but I often talk to the housecat, and I'm not at all
convinced she understands me any more than my absent loved ones did.... ;)

I'd be reluctant to talk with a robot, for fear of spying type stuff. I'm
getting more silent nowadays: people all have phones that can record what
others say.

Regards,
MB
