These care robots are not like the robots you are thinking of.  :)
Think instead of a cloth doll that contains some smartphone-level
technology.
They cost less than 2,000 dollars. The cost is recovered by allowing a
social worker to manage a larger number of patients.
Both patients and social workers are enthusiastic supporters.
