Interestingly, to me it is liberals that have lost touch with
reality, more than conservatives. By the way I don't call myself a
conservative. I call myself a pragmatic and compassionate libertarian.
For most of my life I've felt closer to the liberal camp than to the
conservative camp. But in the last few years I've been feeling so
disgusted with today's "liberals" (in scare quotes because real
liberals are something else) than, when I have to choose, I tend to
support the conservatives.
