It could. If you assume that words containing 'man' refer only to 
biological males (they don't). That's what got us into this mess in the 
first place. That's what leads to silliness like 'peoplekind', 
'salesperson', and I'm just waiting for someone to insist we should talk 
about 'personagement' instead of management. And "person your posts!". 
Someone should sue Manpower the recruitment agency for having a 
discriminatory title, no?
