I understand being terse, but I parsed that juxtaposition as either you
left because Anders was there (??) or you used it because Anders WAS there
but he left so you then abandoned it.

I guess since we're kinda reminiscing,  I'll recall that Eugen [Leitl?]
left after expresssing some sentiment about not even wanting to have
correspondence with anyone using a google address.  I always thought that
was a strange hill to die on, but admire the conviction to follow through
on principle. Since it's been many years, I will volunteer that I might
remember that incorrectly.
