Example of how to use TwitterX: there is a lot of chatter about this article.  It is paywalled, but you get the idea from the headline.  TwitterX is discussing the content today with many viewpoints other than our rarified and not always particularly insightful ExI perspective.

I have been a Wall Street Journal reader for years, because friends give me subscriptions as gifts (they know I do not and will not pay for news content (but if they were not so generous, I would likely buy WSJ (and some of the science and astronomy stuff my kind friends give me.)))

 

We have a lot of NVidea millionaires around here, which fills me with confidence we are standing on the threshold of a dream.  We have all this investment capital, eager to find the NBT, the Next Big Thing, then invest the hell out of it (or rather into it) get that moving.  I only wish I had 20 more years of youth to watch it all unfold, because it will be exciting.  

 

I perceive we are at a new Renaissance, with eager tech money ready to reshape our world, away from dominance by labor and unpleasant jobs, to super productive new jobs.  Ja I know there are challenges, for the lower-end jobs keep getting automated, with the most visible examples being taxi driving, delivery driving, farm labor (it is astonishing how much of that is being automated now) sales, phone interactions, etc.

 

NVidea is building these marvelous computer chips.  I am pondering ways to get enough power to them and keep them cool.  I am pondering all of this, how to improve our society, increase the wellbeing of humanity, to have a safer, cleaner, more peaceful society, a better world, healthier, longer lived version of humans, in a more equitable society living on a better, cleaner planet, along with the very most important question of all: how to make a cubic buttload of money doing it.
