On the contrary John.  Musk owns that company.  Of course he makes the rules.  He is not obligated to answer to the US government or any other government.  It isn’t illegal to criticize Musk, nor is he claiming any such thing.  If you invite someone into your home and he starts criticizing you, no one would blame you for grasping him firmly by the collar and hauling his ass to the great outdoors, then slamming the door behind him.

But in that case, Stankey is only the boss, not the owner.  Two very different things.  The boss can’t do whatever he wants and whatever he sees fit.  The owner can.  The owner can tell the boss how he wants things done.

Agree.  It doesn’t need to.  That’s what TwitterX is for.  As far as I know, there are no rules urging civility there.  But there are such notions here.  Everything is as it should be.  I have no quarrels with any of it.

 

Having reasonable guidelines urging civility does not turn ExIchat into Namby Pamby land either.  There is good content here.  We check and filter material found elsewhere on the internet.  TwitterX is good for being up to date on current events with plenty of realtime discussion, and no guarantee the info there is correct.  I do urge all to go elsewhere for medical advice.  Go to TwitterX for entertainment, a general understanding of the current buzz, that sorta thing.  Here for technology news, science, interesting discussions, high reliability info.  Both hangouts have their value.
