I am pondering all of this, how to improve our society, increase the wellbeing of humanity, to have a safer, cleaner, more peaceful society, a better world, healthier, longer lived version of humans, in a more equitable society living on a better, cleaner planet, along with the very most important question of all: how to make a cubic buttload of money doing it.

John we have most things in common. We already know we disagree by 90 degrees on politics. But that is only one very small area of life. Political disagreement is nothing personal. Just business.
For instance…We agree that these marvelous chips which NVidea has brought forth are power hungry as all hell. We agree that additional generation is desperately needed, that because of the singularity, emissions are nearly irrelevant (we must not smoke out the neighbors (but that isn’t hard to accomplish)) we agree that the accelerationist model is generally correct, rather than the singularity model popular in the 00s, that the singularity doesn’t require a preliminary runup of computing power (details and clarification of that comment available on request.)
Disagreement on politics is expected and natural. Civility is required, appropriate, appreciated and most welcome. Technology marches on, regardless.
