I'm in no position to catch engineering mistakes. My intuition was that it
would be a solution looking for a problem, but crazier idears make money
in their niche. Whether larger or smaller that a metric buttload depends
on the niche.

Do you think this entire approach to EV is viable? In the AA and AAA
battery space, it's far easier to swap out of the device than to charge
in-place. If we are standardizing plugs, why not standardize 'drive in
empty, drive out full' swap? Surely you have no affection for "your"
crummy hardware, amirite?
