They said that 2 years ago, in 2023.

And 2 years before that, in 2021.

And before then, though it was a bit longer (and COVID interrupted
things a bit).

Nothing that is happening today makes that claim any more likely now
than it was back then.  Consider why those claims were made back then,
what factors appeared to be imminent, and compare to the factors that
cause you to make the claim today.

It's kind of like a certain claim that, in a year's time, there will
still be no proof of ESP or the like, despite thousands of people
claiming to have observed psychic phenomena.
