"Nothing has changed all that much" would, to some, be quite the
marked improvement given the past few months.

I am literally dealing with one such bit between these emails
(replying as quick breaks while things print/process).  To quote from
one version of what I'm writing: "Between people being out of office
and the government shutdown, the contracting officer was not available
to sign this form by the proposal due date".

Fortunately, we have savings to ride through for quite a while, and
there are Golden Dome related uses that we can play up in our
proposals, to make funding our work fall into what they call an
"excepted" category in case this shutdown does drag out for multiple
months.

I recall that Bitcoin went on a roughly week-long rally after Trump
got reelected - predictably, given the pro-crypto promises he had
made.  Had I been in a position to invest at the time, I might have
gotten in on that.  Alas, what held me back was harder to quickly
overcome than a mere lack of spine.
