If you have ever seen Khan Academy videos, you know those are good: Sal is really good at what he does.

But one area in particular, for it was something at which I suck, but Sal came from that industry: economics and investing.  He was a disillusioned fund manager when he walked away from a very lucrative career and started his YouTube based educational videos with NO PROFIT MODEL at all, no plans of making it pay, just made the content, put it up there free, no advertisement or product placement.  He just did it.

Sal knows from investing and economics.  If you want to learn, go to Khan Academy, find those lectures.

Donors found that content, gave him money.  To get the whole story, find an original edition of Sal's book One World Classroom.  He tells about it in there, about how a rich person asked to interview him.  He agreed.  She wrote him a huge check to keep doing what he was doing.
