Eh...in my case, "isn't trying" may be an accurate assessment.  I'm
one of those folks who can't really retire until my mind and/or body
give out, no matter how much money I have.  There's always stuff to
do.  Even if I became the world's first trillionaire (say, if I
managed to fund an asteroid redirect mission that put a M-type into
GEO, covered it in spacecraft owned by companies I owned so as to
claim it de facto even if I could not claim it de jure, and started
extracting the most precious metals for delivery to Earth while
reserving most of the mass for construction in orbit), I'd be putting
the money to work building up capabilities and infrastructure.
