*I assume you're joking because if the Republicans won't negotiate now, and
they won't, then they certainly won't negotiate if the Democrats give in
and the government reopens.  After all, they had** plenty of time to
negotiate with the Democrats before the shutdown happened, but they refused
to have anything to do with them, I guess because the Democrats are the
party of hate, evil, AND SATAN*.
