>… you have seen no indication that the current POTUS is acting like a king in ways that no other American president ever has before?

John if the current POTUS was acting like a king, he could force reopening of the government. His party holds both the senate and the house, both are voting in almost unison to reopen government, yet they can’t get that done over the objection of the minority. A king could overrule that and make it happen.

>…No. The Hunter Biden laptop story broke on October 14, 2020 just before the 2020 election NOT the 2016 election. On that day the Times said they were "unable to independently verify the contents" and that was true, they could not verify it… A few days later they said the story was "unsubstantiated" and in October 2020 it was unsubstantiated. Given the fact that there was so much Russian disinformation going on at the time it was responsible journalism to be careful and not report it as if it was a proven fact…

The FBI could have verified that story for it has legal access to metadata. They knew who was the recipient of the “Big Guy” post. We knew there was a bunch of salacious stuff on that laptop (which is how it landed in the hands of the FBI to start with) but we don’t care about that, or the hypocrisy of the gun stuff, we don’t care. We do care about the Big Guy comment, and that was verifiable quickly. That the FBI, which had already been caught falsifying evidence by that time, didn’t verify or refute the Big Guy post caused many of us to believe at the time that the Hunter laptop was genuine.

>…It turned out that in late 2019 the FBI had verified it but that fact had not been made public…

Sheesh that’s quite the admission. That makes it a coverup and implicates the hell outta the FBI as a political actor. John read the sentence you just wrote, and ask yourself some inevitable questions.

>…And what did we learn from that laptop? Not much except that Hunter Biden liked pornography…

We already knew that, don’t care.

>…and cocaine…

We already knew that, don’t care.

>…And that he bought a gun illegally…

But wasn’t prosecuted for some unknown reason, ja we knew that.

>… And that he tried to cash in on the fact that he was the son of the president of the United States… John K Clark

We DO care about that, if the VPOTUS was getting 10% of the cut in accordance with the Big Guy post. We suspected it, and we damn well DO care about that, particularly if the FBI knew and was covering it up, which many of us suspect it did at the time. I suspect the FBI knew in 2020 that the laptop was genuine, they knew in 2019 within a day or two of receiving, that it was genuine, knew that the Russians didn’t do that. I suspect that the FBI had already spoken to the recipient of the Big Guy post within a day or two of getting that laptop, who willingly talked to them, and that the FBI kept it quiet in 2020. That is a big big deal.

Once the FBI gets away with acting as a political agent, they will do it again and again. I think they are doing it now. Once that gets started, it is hard to stop. Once the legal system gets weaponized as a political tool, that might be impossible to stop. I think it is continuing, with different actors, and that it will continue in the future, for no one was held accountable for covering up that laptop, they didn’t do much of anything about the Crossfire Hurricane business, the Andy’s Office tweets, the falsified evidence scandal, no one was held accountable to any serious extent for any of that.
